Vino Volta "Different Skins" Frontignac Gewurztraminer
This is VV's version of a skin contact white - vaguely inspired by those of the Friuli Venezia wine region of Northern Italy. Super aromatic with Turkish delight aromas, citrus and tropical fruits, this wine is bright, lively, then turning savoury and textural. She's complex! Great as a chilled warm weather orange wine (well, actually orangey/pink). For the wine nerds: both varieties were picked separately and naturally fermented spending three weeks on skins before pressing off to old barrique - the wines were matured over seven months on lees.
